So far it hasn't caused any issues with my other instruments, but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm quite perplexed as to why this issue is arising, especially with Omnisphere. It's almost like it's ignoring the notes as if you were using a 'trial' version of the software for you to test it out before purchasing it. It will sometimes switch back on after some random tinkering (which doesn't make much sense - so I can't really toubleshoot it), then it will go out again. ![]() Sometimes notes will play, other times notes will just be ignored. Switching sets would not work.Į.) It's quite random, at best. It would also play in a different track that had a seperate omnisphere instrument loaded - but this would be random, as it would work sometimes and then it would stop.Ĭ.) I checked to see if the midi clip I had dragged in had some sort of automated CC which would affect a parameter that would cause it issue - and so far I haven't found a single thing.ĭ.) Only way for me to fix this, is to shut down and re-load Ableton Live. I've experienced this problem in the past, both with my own custom created midi clips and ones I have just dragged down.Ī.) The midi notes would be received by Live, but they would not play the instrument loaded in Omnisphere.ī.) If I dragged the midi clip to a new track with a different instrument, it would play. I have a few midi files that I've downloaded off the internet here, and the issues started to arise after I dragged out a midi file into Omnisphere's track in Session View. The MIDI data should be channelized to channel 1 automatically, and Ive never heard of a case where this didnt happen for MIDI data on the track itself (as opposed to MIDI data sent from another track to the instrument), but if I had to guess it would be that there is some kind of MIDI channel-related problem with Omnisphere. and if looped the first note that would not play previously will play second time through. the next note and all subsequent notes play fine. Now the first Omnisphere midi note will not play from the playhead regardless of where it is. I have a folder called 'My Grab Bag,' which I fill with all sorts of random stuff to use as inspiration when I am in a rut. Just did the 1.3 update for Omnisphere and Trilian. So far the issue has been with Omnisphere exclusively, as my other virtual instruments seem to be doing just fine. I'm working on a new song right now, and I'm experiencing some issues with midi note playback. MIDI Learn enables full remote control of Omnisphere’s parameters from MIDI Devices. If there is a source that has been listed that fixes this issue, my apologies. It allows you to clear all assignments for the specific controller, without having to Unlearn each parameter individually.I've tried doing a search with some choice key words, and I haven't found anything that solves my problem. This option is especially convenient if you are controlling more than one parameter with a single physical controller. Using MIDI Learn, a single controller can have more than one parameter assigned to it. To accomplish this, select Unlearn Next MIDI Device from the menu, then move the physical controller on your MIDI Device. When a physical controller has been MIDI-Learned, you can use this option to Unlearn it. This is also a convenient way to verify assignments after a MIDI Learn Template has been loaded. *Before saving a MIDI Learn Template, you can use the option Show Current Assignments (see below) to preview the settings that will be saved with the Template. Selecting this option will open a File Load dialogue, allowing a saved Template to be loaded. Any existing MIDI Learn assignments will be replaced with the assignments stored in the Template. Select “Load Template” to load a previously saved Template. Selecting this option will open a File Save dialogue, allowing the Template to be named and saved. Select “Save Template” from the MIDI Learn and Automation sub-menu, to store all current MIDI Learn and Automation assignments for later recall. MIDI Learn and Automation Templates allow custom setups to be saved and easily recalled whenever they’re needed. Now when the outputs has been assigned close the hood, (same button again), and head over to the piano roll. ![]() Click on the Processing tab, and click on Automap outputs. All you need is to open up Omnispheres hood in FL Studio (small button almost top left). All MIDI Learn and Automation assignments are saved with a MULTI, but there are times when it makes sense to save a MIDI Learn and Automation configuration for use with another project or environment. Part 1 sends MIDI to channel 1, and sends the output to output 1 and so forth.
